Job Description:
- 12-14 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area in a Govt./PSU or private company of repute.
- The candidate must have experience in OH&S management & monitoring, carrying out risk assessments to identify, assess and reduce OH&S risks, maintain relevant OH&S logs and documentation, compliance of applicable OH&S laws and regulations, safety management as per OHSAS 18001 and Corporate Standards, implementing organization’s OH&S strategies and action plans, promoting and raising OH&S awareness at all levels.
- Liaising with statutory authorities on issues related to occupational health and safety, internal communication and co-ordination related to health and safety, for renewal of licence/consents under Factory Act and other applicable acts, Safety Awareness and training, Co-coordinating for investigation of accidents/incidents/near misses and co-ordination for corrective and preventive actions, Responsibilities as defined in Emergency preparedness procedures.
- To carry out site safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedure followed by employees and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and unsafe action.
